HabitArt Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 24, 2026
1. Who is responsible
The controller of personal data processed by us in connection with HabitArt is:
ROBERT KOSTRZEWA - KOSTRZEWADESIGN.COM
ul. Stefana Okrzei 109
55-080 Kąty Wrocławskie, Poland
Tax identification number: PL8961456432
Email: robert@designmorphic.com
This policy covers the HabitArt iOS application and support communications about it. The DesignMorphic website may have separate privacy and cookie information for website visits.
2. Privacy overview
HabitArt does not require a HabitArt account.
Your ritual names, goals, schedules, check-ins and mosaic data are stored locally on your device. We do not operate a server that receives this content as part of ordinary app use.
HabitArt currently has no separate behavioural analytics or advertising SDK. We do not sell your personal data or use your ritual content for advertising.
Optional backups, App Store purchases and support communications involve additional processing as described below.
3. Data stored on your device
HabitArt stores the information needed to provide its features, including:
ritual names, icons, goals and schedules;
check-ins, recorded values and archived rituals;
mosaic palettes, appearance settings and information required to reproduce your mosaics;
app preferences, reminder settings and Daily Reflection display state.
This information is used to provide the features you choose. We do not receive it unless you deliberately share it with us, for example in a support email or attached backup.
Avoid including unnecessary sensitive information in ritual names or files you share.
4. Backups and exports
If you enable or manually use iCloud backup, HabitArt saves a copy of app data to the iCloud Drive associated with your Apple Account. This requires Apple’s iCloud service and suitable storage availability.
Automatic backup, where enabled, runs during app use when a backup is due and the data has changed. It is not a guarantee of a daily backup while the application remains closed.
Backup files contain ritual data, history and settings needed for restoration. They do not contain your payment card details or grant Premium access.
You can also export a backup to a destination you choose. That destination and any recipient will process the file under their own terms and privacy practices.
We do not receive copies of these backups through the backup feature. Copies may remain in iCloud Drive or other destinations after you delete the app and must be managed separately.
Apple’s Privacy Policy:
5. Reminders
If you enable reminders and grant notification permission, HabitArt schedules local notifications through iOS using your chosen times and days.
You can change reminders in HabitArt and control notification permission in iOS Settings. HabitArt does not need to send your ritual history to our server to schedule local reminders.
Notifications may be visible on your device’s lock screen according to your system settings.
6. Purchases and RevenueCat
When in-app purchases are enabled, Apple processes payments and manages App Store transactions. We do not receive your full payment card details.
Where RevenueCat is enabled to manage Premium access, it processes an app-specific customer identifier, purchase and subscription information, transaction identifiers, and technical information needed to validate purchases and maintain access. This may include device and operating system information, app version, locale and service connection information.
An automatically generated identifier does not require a HabitArt account, but may still constitute personal data.
We use purchase-related data to provide Premium access, restore purchases, resolve payment issues and prevent misuse. Ritual names, goals, check-ins and mosaic content are not required for this purpose and should not be sent to RevenueCat.
RevenueCat’s Privacy Policy:
This section applies when the purchase integration is active. Before enabling it, we will ensure that the application’s disclosures reflect the configuration actually used.
7. Support communications
If you email us, we receive your email address, message and any information or attachments you choose to provide.
We use this information to answer your request, investigate issues and handle complaints. Please do not send sensitive information that is unnecessary for support.
Our email provider processes these communications on our behalf.
8. Purposes and legal bases
Where the GDPR applies to personal data processed by us:
providing requested app features, Premium access and support is based on performance of a contract or steps taken at your request;
maintaining security, preventing misuse and handling legal claims is based on our legitimate interests;
retaining information required for accounting or other statutory duties is based on a legal obligation;
where a particular processing activity requires consent, we request it separately and allow withdrawal.
Optional features such as notifications and iCloud backup remain under your control. A system permission does not by itself authorise unrelated processing.
9. Recipients and international processing
Depending on the features you use, data may be processed by Apple, RevenueCat when enabled, our email service provider, professional advisers or authorities where legally required.
Apple also processes information independently under its own policies. We do not control data processing performed independently by Apple or destinations you select for exports.
Service providers may process information outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Where we are responsible for such a transfer, we use a legally recognised transfer mechanism, such as an applicable adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses, as required. You can contact us for information about the safeguards relevant to your data.
10. Retention and deletion
Local ritual data remains on your device until you delete it or remove the application, subject to any device or system backups.
iCloud and exported backup files remain until removed or replaced under the relevant backup retention settings or storage provider’s rules.
Support messages are kept for as long as reasonably needed to resolve the request and address related complaints or claims. Information subject to a legal retention requirement is kept for the required period.
Purchase-related records are retained as necessary to maintain and restore access, meet legal obligations and handle disputes. Deleting the app does not automatically cancel a subscription or delete records held by Apple or RevenueCat.
Contact us to request deletion of personal data held by us. Some records may need to be retained where the law permits or requires it.
11. Your rights
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal data, restrict processing, object to processing based on legitimate interests, and withdraw consent where processing relies on it.
We cannot retrieve local-only ritual data from your device. Backup and export features can help you obtain a copy of that information.
To exercise rights concerning information held by us, contact robert@designmorphic.com. We may request proportionate information to verify your identity.
You may lodge a complaint with a data protection authority. In Poland, this is the President of the Personal Data Protection Office, UODO:
You may also contact the competent authority in your country of residence.
12. Children
HabitArt is not specifically directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect their personal information through our support or purchase-management services.
If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so that we can review and appropriately address it. Purchases by minors must follow applicable law and Apple’s parental controls and purchase rules.
13. Security
We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the information we process. No device, storage service or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure.
Protect your device and Apple Account, and share backup files only with recipients you trust.
14. Changes and contact
We may update this policy as HabitArt develops or legal requirements change. The latest revision date appears above. Where required, we will provide notice or request consent before introducing a new use of personal data.
